Unfortunately, no. CBAC 2026 is a team-versus-team competition therefore single entries are not allowed. The registration form will prompt you to submit at least 4 members per team.
You can register under the “Junior College” category.
If you are a student from an International School and are between the ages of 17-25 years, you are to register under the “Open” category.
Yes, you and your teammates may still register as a team, but you will have to sign-up under the “Open” category.
A stable Internet connection and a laptop/desktop computer is advised throughout this competition. For Phase 1 (Case Briefing), the Zoom link will be sent out to registered teams closer to the date.
For Phase 2 (Self-Guided Investigation), a pro tip is that the clock ticks the moment you start your report for the day. Teams are to devise their own ‘roster’ and gather the clues.
For Phase 3 (Final Showdown), show us your unique QR code sent to your registered email to gain entry. A jacket to keep warm and a laptop to close your case. Simple writing materials are not compulsory items but might come in useful.
Yes, attendance of all team members is compulsory for Phase 1 (Case Briefing) virtually and Phase 3 (Final Showdown) in-person. If any of the team members are not able to be present due to valid reasons (e.g., not feeling well), please inform us at enquiry@cbac2026.sg.
There is no recommended attire. You and your team can come in school attire, comfortable clothing, costumes, or even in creative outfits. No dangerous accessories and/or profanities printed on clothing please. Please also note that there will be a photo op for winners during the on-stage prize presentation.
The Final Showdown on 18 July 2026 will be held at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands Singapore, 10 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018956. There will be directional signages to guide the way to the event ballroom.
Unfortunately, no. We seek your understanding that lunch would not be provided as Round 3 will start at 1.30pm. However, feel free to make your brunch/lunch plans prior to reaching, in preparation of an exciting afternoon! Afternoon tea refreshments will be provided.
We would like to reassure everyone that the storyline, images, names, and recordings are not obtained from real crime cases. Nevertheless, the CBAC organising committee is committed to providing an exciting crime solving and criminal profiling experience.
Students will have to check with their school’s CCA coordinator regarding the allocation of CCA points for participation in competitions like CBAC. If the school agrees to grant CCA points to students who participate, the CBAC organising committee will help to endorse (i.e., students’ attendance) if needed.
